Create an Account
How to start
First, head to mcp.run and create your account by clicking the Sign Up button in the header.
Upon doing so, you will be asked to link a GitHub account. This is currently the only identity manager we support. If you'd like to see more, please reach out and let us know.
Once you authenticate with GitHub or Google, you are ready to use
mcp.run, as well as mcpx
, which you can learn about
installing here.
Log in via Claude Desktop or Other MCP Clients
We'll refer to Claude Desktop in this tutorial, but if you're using any different application that supports MCP, the same instructions should apply. If you have any trouble, please reach out and get help.
After mcpx
is installed, you should see new tools available to use. If not,
see the troubleshooting section below.
Assuming everything is working, you can now ask Claude to log you in to mcp.run, by prompting it with something like:
Please log me in to mcp.run
This should initiate a log-in sequence, which will open up a browser window for you to accept the log-in request.
If not, you may be using a browser or operating system which we couldn't automate this process. Please reach out and we can see that you are successfully logged in. This is a critical step, and without logging in, you will not be able to access your tools.
Troubleshooting
If you are not seeing new tools available to Claude Desktop, please quit and restart the application.
If after fully quitting the application, you still can't see new tools, or are unable to run the log-in prompt and authenticate, you may have network connectivity issues, or something is misconfigured.
Please reach out for help!
